Born and raised in sunny South Africa, I took my first ballet class at the age of 3. From that first lesson, I knew ballet was in my blood. I was trained in the Royal Academy of Dance method by various teachers in both Cape Town and Johannesburg. Talent, perseverance and hard work enabled me to complete my RAD examinations to an advanced level, and participate in the prestigious American Academy of Ballets Performance Award program. During my teenage years, I was a member of the renowned Johannesburg Youth Ballet company, where I gained invaluable stage experience. 

After graduating from university, while living and working in London, I decided to turn my passion for ballet and artful movement into a life-long career. Furthering my training at the Royal Academy of Dance, I received my Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies in 2011. To expand my repertoire and supplement my knowledge, I also qualified as a Pilates instructor, in the Body Control UK Method.

Working at many ballet schools in South Africa enriched my experience and honed my teaching skills. In 2013 I opened my own successful dance studio, which I ran until 2018, when I moved to Switzerland with my husband. In Switzerland, I have taught at various International Schools as well as private Ballet Studios in Zurich. En Pointe Studio is an opportunity for me to share my love of ballet, and bring the fun and freedom of movement to the Unterägeri community!
